Stephen does a wonderful job of creating a discussion forum during his presentations and makes excellent use of real-world examples to send the key learnings home.
-
Well presented and lots of useful information.
-
Especially liked the comments from past participants
-
I liked the continued angle of getting us to consider alternative approaches, unconventional tactics.
-
Please give an overall evaluation in short statement:
-
I liked the 6 minute zoom room case study
-
Thought provoking and engaging webinar with practical examples.
-
I liked many things about the course: multiple case studies, lots of real life examples and facts from you and examples from your career
-
Jumping around is different but I personally think it keeps the course more interesting and engaging because you can’t really predict where you will go
-
I also like that it seemed like this course definitely had more cases than your usual courses
-
I liked you do share comments from prior groups. It definitely shares different perspectives which is always welcomed.
-
I’ve never enjoyed and been as engaged for 2.5 hours in a PD course as I was in this one!
-
Very interesting especially the Panama Les Érables case!!!
-
Your courses are always an event! Humor and surprise are useful ingredients in keeping our attention and interest throughout
-
Your presentation and the relevance of the case studies (real life!!!) is “eye-opening” and contributes to raise awareness.
-
Excellent and generous in topics covered).
-
Overall evaluation: dynamic et interesting presentation of an inherently “dry” subject. Very credible presentator.
-
The topics were super relevant. It wasn't just a bunch of boring theory; it felt like stuff I'd actually use.
-
The discussions were great. It was cool hearing everyone's different takes on things.
-
This was way better than my last one from ___ a total snooze-fest just reading and taking quizzes because it was all about talking and applying what we learned.
-
Overall, this was a fantastic course. It went way beyond just definitions and really helped me think about how to handle tough situations
-
Content was very much on topic; jokes, polls, and other fun parts were appropriate and well timed.
-
The stories (especially the one about the brothers and their dog) were very good, as was the "white lies" segment.
-
I came away with a renewed sense of commitment to integrity and ethics, reminded that things can slide without our knowing it. In that sense, I think the course was a win.
-
I was different from the last ethics course I took,a single case study with CPA ___. Your course was more impactful.
-
This course is a great way to get your ethics hours. The breadth and depth of the material make it easy to apply to my situation.
-
I liked your conversational style (as always)
-
Real-life stories and case studies really help to make ethics dilemmas relatable as opposed to diluted concepts in a manual
-
I love the way you teach
-
It was different from my last ethics course, an ethics overview of the CPA Code of Professional Conduct, the instructor did provide occasional examples, but there were no case studies and the content was definitely a little dry.
-
The interactive approach in this course (chat questions, polls, etc.) make it feel more personal than other ethics courses.
-
This is a highly practical ethics course that I would recommend to anyone in the profession. The content is engaging and the interactive elements keep it interesting.
-
Thank you again for the entertaining and engaging course.
-
I liked the use of real-world case studies made the concepts tangible and easy to connect to professional situations.
-
Your presentation style was very engaging, and encouraged active participation
-
The emphasis on practical frameworks for decision-making (not just theory) was very helpful.
-
The variety of scenarios from subtle everyday dilemmas to more serious breaches showed the full spectrum of ethical challenges.
-
Your course stood out by using storytelling and real-life applications, which made the material more engaging and memorable.
-
One case study reminded me of a prior workplace experience where management applied pressure to overlook an accounting irregularity. Having a framework, like the one discussed in class, would have provided clearer guidance on how to respond.
-
A well-structured and highly relevant ethics course that successfully bridges theory with real-world practice, leaving participants better equipped to navigate complex situations (University Senior Faculty Lecturer)
-
Very interesting. I liked the team case aspect
-
The time flew
-
I still think that yourcourses are the best, too bad you don’t do assurance courses..
-
You are always entertaining keep that up
-
You speak very quickly but I guess that also creates the good vibe.
-
The stories are all fun and interesting.
-
Keep doing what you are doing, its 100 times better than a 14 hour course on CAS.
-

-
Real life examples are very valuable
-
The threat to relatives case opens people’s eyes to possible realities faced in certain industries.
-
Easy to say we would do the right thing in theory but not so easy in real life.
-
Your approach is more human and vulnerable – a real person with real life experience which makes it different
-
Being open to other ideas in the chat and verbally and the participation is not the norm anymore so that is valuable

This course brings a real world view to the complex issues we face every day in regards to how we show up for friends, family and our professional commitments.
